New Friendships Found at Wagonhammer East meets West

New Friends are Made Every Day at Wagonhammer Campgrounds

Every Friday night at Wagonhammer is a special evening for our guests both Be Backs and New.  “HAPPY APPIES” AT  THE LODGE” – 5 P.M.  Please bring a snack to share and your beverage of choice.  This has become a favorite time at Wagonhammer’s Idaho Destination RV Park, where many experiences are shared and new friendships begin.

We just witnessed such a friendship which began on our back patio while enjoying incredible morsels and beverages and the surrounding natural beauty of our Salmon River Valley.  So often our RV Park Reviews include the quality of our Idaho RV Park’s conditions, beauty, and service, however, this time we are delighted to share the following little story of  how friendships begin at Wagonhammer, so generously shared by Mary Ann and Robb.

We arrived at our RV Park Destination Wagonhammer

“We started out with our “little bedroom on wheels” from Southern California enroute to Alberta not knowing what adventure awaited us.  There was no fixed itinerary other than discovering some places of beauty, charm, tranquility, interest and meeting some nice folks along the way.  As we journeyed along there were places where we stayed a day or two to take in all of the beauty that is in this great land of ours.  Typically however, after a brief visit, it was time to move on.  This was our mindset when we reached “Wagonhammer”.

Little did we know that when we checked in for 2 nights that it would be 2 weeks later before departing.  The natural beauty along the Salmon River is breathtaking and seemingly endless. As we set up, a feeling of peacefulness came over us as we watched and listened to the rushing waters flowing by the door of our trailer.  We were made to feel so at home by everyone that we felt as if we were being welcomed by family.  So…that, along with the beauty of “Wagonhammer” and its surroundings, we just had to stay for a few more days.

Dropping in for coffee at 9 and cocktails at 5 gave us the opportunity to visit and get to know our new friends Shirley and Ab, Deena and Joe and Marianne and James.  During one of those Wagonhammer Gatherings  we were introduced to a couple by the name of Sue and Tom.  It is a funny thing how you can go along for awhile and meet many people and every now and then, someone comes along that you just know will be close friends and you feel that you ‘ve known them forever.  Well, as we got to know Sue and Tom it became clear that we were not going to depart in the next few days and we have become such good friends.

RV Friendships made at Wagonhammer – Our new “Be Backs”

The four of us have explored much and have seen many beautiful sights and wildlife in the area.   We’ve shared good food, good spirits and good laughs in many of the charming eateries and pubs around.  As they hail from North Carolina and we from Alberta and California it has made an interesting case of East meets West and North meets South.  During our conversations you will hear “Y’all” and “Eh” blending together as if it were meant to be.  Our common bond is  “Wagonhammer” and the wonderful folks there.  Most certainly we’ll be back and for sure, and there will be a trip made to North Carolina to Sue and Tom’s.  Here’s to wonderful new friendships Y’All, Eh !!!!!”
