Wagonhammer RV Park in North Fork Idaho has been a hive of activity and musical gatherings. During the past week we have had two music events for the enjoyment of both our campground guests and neighboring friends. Summer sure has started off with a bang!
Wednesday evening The Salmon Valley Strings entertained us on the back patio to some great foot stomping melodies in Blue grass style. They along with Wagonhammer sponsored a fund raiser for our local North Fork Volunteer Fire Department. Our guests experienced a lively evening of listening to music, enjoying a tasty potluck meal and visiting with other campers and our local residents.
Marc and Lois Williams of MW Construction donated several four pound bags of their locally grown asparagus. They shared their grilled asparagus with the crowd and then great fun was had when someone decided to auction off the asparagus with the highest bidder being at $55.00. WOW…!!!
With great pride we announce the final donation pot totaled over $1000.
We thank our neighbors and Wagonhammer RV Park guests for their generosity.
Saturday evening guests were entertained by multi-award winning western songwriter Patty Clayton from Colorado. She also arrived with Sam DeLeeuw from Utah who is a multi-award winning Cowgirl poet. We gathered in the Lodge for a special evening of two great talents in concert. Patty and Sam were in town for a performance at the Sacajawea Center in Salmon Idaho. Patty travels in her RV and has stayed at our North Fork Idaho RV Park and Campgrounds in the past. We were rewarded with her fondness for our park when she requested to come give a private performance for our guests. We are so delighted and thankful that Patty returned to Wagonhammer with her friend Sam in concert.
It was a great night of laughter and memories of years gone by as our brave pioneers forged across our country. We ended the evening with a delectable variety of desserts and a moment to become acquainted with these talented artists.
Music is just in the air. This past month we have had RV and camping guests arrive with guitars and would you believe even a violin. We thoroughly enjoyed evenings by the campfire as Lon Jones entertained us with his guitar. We had magical time under the stars as we listened to thought provoking ballads, many of which were his musical creations.
Our guests enjoy coming into the Wagonhammer Lodge for morning coffee. One morning while savoring a morning cup of coffee one of our young guests popped in with of all musical instruments a violin. Master Ferre from Tuscon Arizona treated us to classical music. We sure enjoyed this talented aspiring artist as we sipped our coffee.
We just want to give a special shout out and a big thank you to our musical guests this month. If you are planning a stay at Wagonhammer Campground in North Fork Idaho, bring along your instrument as there is nothing like music to relieve the soul and uplift it and yes maybe kick up your heels a little.
See you ’round the campfire!
