Wagonhammer welcomes Bikers traveling along scenic Highway 93 in Idaho

Abner and I are always happy to hear the sound of motorcycles seeking biker friendly campgrounds approaching our office.  Over the years we have met so many interesting bikers seeking a night’s lodging as they travel through grand mountain ranges and the majestic Salmon River on Idaho’s highway 93 scenic byway.

This past week we had the privilege of having as our guests The U.M.C.I United Motor Cycle Club choosing our Idaho biker friendly campground as their overnight destination.  Greg and Peggy Olson from Meridian, Idaho were the organizers and leaders of this group and it was Mr. Olson who made the reservations at Wagonhammer.  There were ten motorcycle enthusiasts in the group hailing from both Idaho and Oregon.  They are all members of United Motorcycle Club International www.umci.org which is a non branded-specific riding group dedicated to riding for fun.  Mr Olson commented “We don’t care what you ride ”    By their laughter and chatter by the Salmon River’s edge we know they all were having great fun and enjoying our breath taking nature.

They also enjoyed visiting The Village at North Fork where their specialty is home baked deserts and ice-cream in every form.  I also heard that there was an actual arm wrestling as to who would get the last blueberry cobbler.

In the morning when they were saying their good-byes to us and we were glad to hear they were sure to say that our Idaho Campgrounds and RV Park was a good way to end their biking tour as we were one of thier favorite stops along the way.  We welcome you back to Wagonhammer’s Biker Friendly Campground nestled along the Salmon River.

Biking Tour Group leaving our biker friendly campgrounds

We enjoy our BIKERS and our just amazed at how those tents just pop up in a twinkling of an eye.  Abner and I were the proud owners of a Gold Wing bike so we can really relate to the enjoyment of seeing the countryside from a biker’s viewpoint.
