Wagonhammer Campground & RV Resort is located right on the Salmon River nestled between the Bitterroot Range and the Salmon Mountains which is a most picturesque part of the Rockies. Just follow Highway 93 North to mile marker 324 situated between the town of Salmon and The Village at North Fork. This Scenic Byway and Historic Lewis & Clark Trail is breathtaking to enjoy.

Wagonhammer is a full facility RV Park catering to ALL. We have spacious RV sites, both pull thru and right on the Salmon River. You can tent with the sound of the nearby Salmon River lulling you to sleep or stay in a tepee.

We provide both coin laundry and shower facilities to our guests. We also have a very unique gift shop with a collection of fine and fashion jewelry, artwork and many treasures for your enjoyment. We feature Idaho Wines and beers, soft drinks and snacks. We also cater to Family Gatherings and Reunions with plenty of grassy space for games and activities.

In the fall of year we are home for hunters and fishermen from all parts of the country. Monday Night football and Chili in the lodge is always an evening of fish and hunting stories.

Wagonhammer is a Destination RV Park with outdoor activities and local interests to keep you as busy as you choose. We are surrounded with Rocky Mountain Hiking both leisurely and challenging. We will help to arrange white water rafting, floating the Salmon River or horseback riding. We have a wealth of qualified nearby outfitters which will pick you up right at your Wagonhammer site. We are very rich in history with nearby ghost towns, old mining sites, battle grounds, Sacajawea Interpretive Center and Museums. There is also many a trail for your Four Wheeler ventures.

Your local dining experiences are quite extensive varying from cafe to gourmet. We can even offer pizza delivery right to your site Thursday through Sunday. Local shopping is a must with quilt shops, antiques, candy and gift shops, and even a unique French bakery.
