Springtime at Wagonhammer is a beauty to behold. April showers in North Fork Idaho bring spring flowers. The mountains are a lush green topped by snow as the trees sprout their vibrant greens. It is always a feeling of wonder as we travel towards the park on the winding Highway 93 bordering the fast flowing Salmon River. Then as we approach Wagonhammer RV Park and Campground in North Fork Idaho, unlocking the gate is a moment of reflection of the past and another new season of happenings.
Abner and I just returned from a Cruise around the Hawaiian Islands in celebration of Fifty Years of Marriage.
We boarded Pride of America, a Norwegian Cruise Line Ship after spending several days in Honolulu to experience the islands with all their unique differences and beauty. Pearl Harbor was a sobering experience but once again made you proud to be an American Citizen.
We visited the islands of Maui, Hawaii (The Big Island) and Kauai with our last day being on our balcony with some bubbly enjoying Na Pali shoreline off of Kauai.
Our favorite was the Garden Island of Kauai but each destination offered history, incredible scenery and local friendliness. It was a very special vacation for both of us with lots of good stuff for the memory bank with a desire to return.
Easter Celebrations brought our family together for lots of food, fun and laughter. Easter is a very special time as we celebrate a Renewable of Life Everlasting.
April is a Bittersweet Moment as we say good bye to Havasu Family and Friends. We look forward in anticipation to our return to Idaho. This is our ninth season as owners and onsite hosts of what has become one of the top rated Idaho RV Parks.
We look forward to meeting our many Be Backs and New guests at Wagonhammer RV Park & Campground. We are also very grateful for the many friendships developed over the years in the Salmon Valley River Area. We are so looking forward to our friends and family visits during our Wagonhammer camping season.
I also look forward to restocking the Wagonhammer Gift Shop as the new merchandise and treasures arrives. Just had a guest call that had spent an evening at Wagonhammer in 2008 and are now returning for several days. We are so glad that her memories of parking on the Salmon River edge and treasures found at Wagonhammer gift shop called her back to us. I have been looking for a special name for the shop and “The Lodge” sounds good but I am still awaiting other suggestions. If you have an idea, e-mail me at wagonhaamerrv@gmail.com.
For reservations at Wagonhammer RV Park and Campground call us at (208) 865-2477. Check our web at wagonhammercampground.com. The Salmon Valley Chamber of Commerce is also a good source of local happenings.
