RV Park Reviews
We thank Joyce Barcas, Regional Idaho Director for Good Sam for sharing her July Newsletter and a nice Rv Park review of Wagonhammer Campground.
“Shirley and AB, thought you might like a sample of our newsletter. The Kaveman Travelers will be there about the 17th, wish we were coming with them. We so enjoyed ourselves. You will enjoy them, Phil Cronk is their President and our new State Treasurer, he is a wonderful gentle soul. Jim and Mary Allen are gurus of Dutch Oven Cooking! And so are many other wonderful members. Thanks for all you do to make the campouts such a success and tell my friend, John, hello for me.” -Joyce
Excerpt from their Good Sam Idaho State Newsletter
Just back from our June Chapter campout in North Fork, Idaho at the Wagonhammer RV campground. The Club encourages us to utilize our Good Sam Parks and this one is a prime example of why! Relaxation doesn’t get any better. Parked fifteen feet away from the Salmon River, we had a front row seat to watch a young bald eagle trying to fly while the parents watched from lower branches. I’m sure they were hoping to not have to continue feeding the young one the following morning, alas no such luck! Another of our chapters will be there later this month, I hope the young one waits so they can see it take its first flight. We also spent some time watching elk, osprey, and other creatures going about their daily business when we weren’t sightseeing, visiting museums, the Big Hole Battlefield, horseback riding, river rafting or eating fabulous food. The owners of this park, Abner and Shirley Schultz, along with their delightful friend John Malkiewicz, made our stay perfect. Of course, our own Chapter camp host, April, did all the planning – thanks to all three of you for creating such a rewarding experience and many great memories. I hope your Chapter is experiencing fantastic campouts such as this one.
