Foretravel 93 Stampede Motorcade “Be Backs” at Wagonhammer RV Park

This past week Wagonhammer Campground was bustling with activity as we welcomed back 27 Foretravel coaches to our North Fork Idaho RV park and campground. This Foretravel Motorcade Club was on a journey traveling Hwy 93 making shorts stops along the way to enjoy our beautiful Idaho on their month long “Foretravel 93 Stampede”.

We so enjoyed the friendly Foretravel Association group of travelers and the four evenings they spent with us. While at Wagonhammer they kept very busy with pre-planned events, beginning their first evening with a catered bbq and all the trimmings savored along the banks of the Salmon River.  Catering was provided by The Kitchen a popular Salmon Idaho catering company owned by Doug and Shannon Weaver.

Warm, sunny days highlighted two days of outdoor activities with Rawhide Outfitters as the group’s host. The Foretravel group experienced a scenic one day tour of Lewis and Clark Historic Lemhi Pass. The second outing took many of the group whitewater rafting on the majestic Salmon River.

We felt honored to be part of their church service held right on the river’s edge. The message given along with the choir singing, mingled with the orchestra of birds and the flowing river all set in God’s nature makes everyone a believer in a supreme being. Our daughter and son in-law were here for a visit and they commented that this was a church service never to forget. The group’s last day at Wagonhammer was free time to either just relax or enjoy our nearby attractions. Most soaked in the surrounding nature just sitting by the riverside, watching a bald eagle with her young attempting to fly the roost and all the other wildlife to behold nearby.

Members of the Foretravel group immersed themselves in the culture of the Sacajawea Center and the Lemhi County Museum in Salmon. Others just enjoyed cruising the back roads and visiting our local restaurants such as the Cafe at the Village at North Fork, a favorite just two miles up the road from our RV park. The Cafe has a new chef and menu this year with many tasty additions. The Foretravel 93 Stampede Motorcade event at Wagonhammer RV Park closed with an evening of Jambalaya and New Orleans Music.

Good company, good food, good cheer!

Foretravel Association group, with members from across the country, sure know how to enjoy life to its fullest. The group’s guide and organizer Gail and Skip just do an incredible job of organization and their visit went as smoothly as anyone could expect. Now the group is continuing their journey to the Calgary Stampede to help celebrate the centennial of “the greatest outdoor show on earth”. Thank You Foretravel,  Be Back Soon Abner & I so appreciate being included in many of the group’s activities. Happy Trails
