Motorhome Magazine Recognizes Wagonhammer Campground

We are so excited to have been featured in the 2015 May Issue of Motorhome magazine, the largest publication for the RVer!

We welcomed the freelance author, Bobbie Hasselberger and her friend the photographer of the comprehensive article at Wagonhammer RV Park and Campground. They discovered our campground on their Salmon Byway exploration and from this stay decided to include our beautiful campground in their article, The Salmon Byway “The River of No Return”.

Travelers on this Scenic Route pass through the Salmon- Challis National Forest experiencing magnificent views of the Salmon River, the White Cloud, the Lemhi and the Bitterroot Mountain Ranges with our Campground situated right on the Byway.

Abner and I took the writer and photographer for a drive down the “salmon river road” an off shoot of the 93 by way where the main Salmon River and North Fork unite. Our campground guests rarely miss this opportunity to explore this prime example of true pristine wilderness and the abundance of wildlife. It is a step back into history with the many fragments of gold mining remnants. It’s always fun to see the whitewater rafters venturing the rapids on the river along this drive. In fact many of the photos included in the story are from this 46 mile drive meandoring along the river banks of The River of no Return.”

A quote about our Wagonhammer campground from the article…

“This Campground just outside North Fork is neat-as-a-pin Good Sam park located right on the Salmon River offering 52 generous sites, many with river views. 30-and 50 amp service with full and partial hookups. There’s also a small, a cozy gathering area where guests, many who return year after year, enjoy gathering, sharing appetizers and a top of the drawer gift shop/boutique.

They described their night at Wagonhammer as peaceful before they continued the drive up the winding trail to the Montana/Idaho Border.

We take great pleasure in sharing the many activities in our area to make our guest’s stay at Wagonhammer memorable.
